An improvised bridge to allow firefighters access to the bottom of the fire.
Aric's first fire with Grayback forestry. Any break in the monotony of filling the Fol-da-tanks repeatedly was welcome. You can see the Mark III pump in the foreground which was my responsibility that day.
Fill the Fol-da-tank....eat.....pee....fill the Fol-da-tank....swat at yellow jackets....eat....fill Fol-da-tank....
Clyde from Glyde in his 50s model 6 wheeler that he bought for $600!
Andy -my engine foreman- telling Clyde to fill the Fol-da-tank
Kathy -my crewmember on Engine 601- keeping her Fol-da-tanks full using draft hoses to syphon from one to another.
Andy kiping toy hose after he took the initiative to get some damn hose on the line.
Some crewmembers of the SRV crew we worked with laying hose in the beautiful big trees of the Monteith Rock area.
